CALL TO WORSHIP
This is a great and joyous day!
We gather to celebrate the amazing good news.
We gather for worship in awe and wonder.
Christ is risen! We want to tell the world!
This is the day that our God has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Let us pray:
God of Life, we gather on this special day with hope renewed.
Your love spans time and space and wraps around us now.
We have known grief and sorrow, loss and tears,
fear and failure, and are in need of resurrection.
Be among us and bless us in this time of worship.
Call us to a new way of being so we may live
Jesus’ resurrected life in today’s world;
We pray in Jesus’ name, saying the words he taught:
THE LORD`S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; Thy
kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever
and ever. Amen.

*Prayer of Dedication
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper
Prayer of Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give God thanks and praise.
Creator God, you spoke the Word and
our world came into being,
and with your strong and gentle voice you called us
into conversation with you.
When we became deaf, when we stopped our ears or tried to
shout above the sound of your love, you kept on speaking.
Down through the ages, through prophets, poets
and preachers, you have spoken to us.
In the fullness of time, you sent Jesus,
your Word made flesh,
in whom we hear and see and come to know you.
In Jesus, all creation learned to sing your song of love.
By Jesus, the poor and lowly were given a voice.
But there were those who sought to silence Jesus,
those for whom the Word was too much.
They were too busy with other words;
They could not and would not listen to Jesus.
On the night in which he was betrayed, Jesus took bread, broke it,
and gave it to his friends, saying: “Take, eat; this is my body,
broken for you. Each time you do this, remember me.”
Each time we eat this bread we will remember him.
After supper he took a cup and gave it for all to drink, saying:
“Take, drink. This is the cup of the promises of God. Whenever
Each time we drink this cup we will remember him.
Come, Holy Spirit, hover over us and this bread and wine. Unite us and strengthen us to live Christ’s resurrected life in the world.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.
As we share this bread and cup, may we know the presence
of the Living Christ and cry out: Christ is risen!
Hallelujah! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed!
These are the gifts of God, for us, the children of God.
Come now, for all is ready.
THE SHARING OF THE BREAD AND CUP
After you have been served please hold the elements
so we may all eat and drink them at the same time.
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
God of life, thank you for this gift of Easter.
May its reality become part of us and challenge us
to deeper commitment and a closer understanding of you.
May your resurrecting power move through us
for the renewal of our world. Amen.
