Call to Worship
Into our world, as into Mary’s womb,
Into the forgotten places, as into a stable,
come Lord Jesus, come.
Into the lives of the poor bringing hope;
into the lives of the powerful, bringing love;
into the lives of the weary, bringing joy;
into our lives and longings, bringing peace,
come Lord Jesus, come.

*Hymn VU #68 “ All Poor Ones and Humble”

God, be with us this morning as we encounter Mary and hear the wondrous news she received. Remind us, that like Mary, each of us is the bearer of good news. We are called to proclaim hope, joy, love and peace in your name. We ask the strength to do this, in Jesus’ name,

Lord’s Prayer #959 (Sung Response)

Scripture Micah 5:2-5
Out of Bethlehem a leader will come

Offering What can give him poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd I would bring a lamb;
if I were a wise man, I would do my part.
Yet what can I give him- give my heart.

Offering Prayer
Loving and gracious God, we offer these gifts, in response to your most precious gift, your Son, our friend, Jesus. May our gifts and our lives be a reflection of his love. Amen

Prayers of the People
