*CALL TO WORSHIP

One:    We enter worship once again this day choosing to serve you, God, and no other.

All:      With waiting hearts we come to worship.

One:    We enter as witnesses to one another to live out our baptism and grow into the Body of Christ.

All:      With waiting hearts we come to worship.

One:    We enter dependent on the Spirit to be with us in our thoughts and feelings.

All:      With waiting hearts we come to worship.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

All:      We admit the ways that we snuff out your holy light in ourselves and others, God.  When we let negative thoughts and old stories overtake us, show us the light of love.   When we let criticism and doubt overtake our communities show us the light of hope.  When we let impatience and aggravation overtake wisdom, show us the light of your word.  When we worship ourselves and our own ideas, show us the light of your powerful reign.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

One:    God will not delay giving help to all those who call upon God.       In Christ Jesus, we have been renewed in the glory of the           resurrection.  Believe the good news: our sins are forgiven.

All:      Thanks be to God.  Amen
